online Environmental health workshop…

This course is comprised of seven modules for improving your home and family health through environmental strategies. The course will be recorded and available to watch at your convenience. Each module is offered individually and is 30 minutes long.

Course material is based on the National Centre for Healthy Housing “Healthy Homes Principles”, University of Arizona’s Environmental Health course for health care professionals, and the International Society for Environmentally-Acquired Illness resources, as well as work by child environmental health researcher Dr. Bruce Lanphear of Simon Fraser University and physician and professor Dr. Stephen Genuis of University of Calgary.

The focus is on building knowledge and capacity, encouraging small change that can make a big difference, and providing options that allow individual families to make choices that fit their values and their resources.

The planned modules are:

Module 1: Clean air

Module 2: Clean food

Module 3: Clean water

Module 4: Clean house

Module 5: Home maintenance to reduce risk of water damage

Module 6: Outdoor air

Module 7: Good, clean dirt!

The course is $199. Sign up and pay before October 14th for the early bird fee of $149.
