Child's Play -How to Support Development Through Play

toolkitrustedhammer.jpg

This 90 minute workshop provides greater detail to build on my material covered in the Mamahood Series. You do not have to have attended a previous workshop.

Drawing upon Heather’s 18 years of experience in infant development assessment and intervention at Peel Infant Development and McMaster Children’s Hospital, this course provides insights and practical tips on supporting development in infants and young children. From understanding a child’s strengths and needs, to modifying the physical, emotional, and social environment, to choosing developmentally appropriate activities and toys, this workshop covers a lot of ground to support your role as your child’s first teacher.

The workshop fee of $50 is reduced to $40 if you sign up by February 1.

Learn:

  • how infants development motor, cognitive, and social skills in nurturing environments

  • what milestones to expect, and why milestones may not matter!

  • how to support your infant or young child’s natural development

Receive:

  • a handout with an overview of the information covered
